Q&A

Where are you celebrating?

We are celebrating at the Putterer Schlössl in Aigen im Ennstal (Juliana's home town). We have rented the Schlössl for the whole weekend and the whole festivities will take place there.

Fun fact: Ulli's apartment is less than 300 meters away.

Address:
Putterer Schlössl
Aigen 19
8943 Aigen im Ennstal
Austria

How do we get to Aigen im Ennstal?

There are several ways to get here:

By car, it's about 3.5 - 4 hours from Innsbruck (depending on traffic). However, experience has shown that the navigation system will show you the fastest route very reliably. We recommend either the highway via Germany  or the route via Zell am See.

There is a direct train from Innsbruck at least once a day. This stops in Stainach-Irdning. From there it is another 10 minutes by car to the wedding location. The same applies if you get there via Vienna or Salzburg.

For the more motivated among you, there is also the option of covering parts of the journey by bike (e.g. from Radstadt). More about the cycle path here. The Enns Valley is perfect for a bike tour and certainly shows its most beautiful side in August.

Can someone give me a ride or pick me up?

If you would like to travel with someone, please let us know in the survey. We will then ask around and get back to you.

If you are arriving by train, please let us know your arrival time so that we can organize transport.

Where can we stay overnight?

We have rented the Putterer Schlössl for the whole weekend and have 80 beds available. There are 2 dorms for 10 people, 4 dorms for 8 people, 2 dorms for 6 people, 2 4 bed rooms, 2 double rooms and 2 singles available.

Families with children are prioritized when allocating rooms. Depending on how many people are staying at the Schlössl, not all rooms will be fully occupied. We will make a suggestion for room allocation and consult with you before anything is finalized.

Cost contribution for adults: € 25.00 per night incl. breakfast in a shared room. That also includes admission to the lake.

We also have a parking lot available. If you would like to stay there with a camper/van, please let us know in the confirmation survey.

Further accommodation nearby:

If you prefer not to stay at the Schlössl but at one of those alternative accommodations, please take care of your own reservation. Aigen is very popular in summer, so we recommend booking early. Please note the distance to the Putterer Schlössl when booking. Cabs are rarely available, especially at night.

Where can we park our car?

There are plenty of parking spaces available at the Putterer Schlössl. Basically, everything in Aigen is within walking distance tho. This means you don’t need your car during the weekend.

Who are the best men and bridesmaids?

Julia Laimer
Verena Stierschneider
Christian Kaspar
David Klingler

Is there a closing time at the venue?

Check-out for our entire wedding party is at 12 noon on Sunday. Otherwise there is no closing time for the whole weekend 🙂. However, we would ask you not to shoot all your powder on Friday already, so that you still have enough energy to celebrate with us on Saturday.

We have an idea for an interlude/game. Who can we contact?

Please get in touch with our maids of honor/groomsmen . You can find their contact details on the printed invitation.

What should we wear?

We look forward to seeing you in festive attire for the wedding ceremony and the celebration.

When choosing your footwear, please bear in mind that there is only little concrete and a lot of grass around the location and that it may get a little cooler in the evening.

Bring your swimwear!

What music will we be listening to?

Anyone who knows us knows that we'll only be listening to pop and folk songs. Of course

What gift would you like for your wedding?

It will come as a surprise to very few people - we would like to go on a vacation together and would be happy if you would contribute to the travel fund! The destination is still up for discussion ... we are always open to ideas.

Who will accompany you photographically?

Sibel und Emil Zechmann will be photographing our day. We therefore ask you to leave your cell phones in your pockets during the ceremony.

How can we help you with the preparations?

We are of course always grateful for helping hands during our wedding weekend, as we will certainly be terribly nervous.  Feel free to talk to us or our maids of honor/groomsmen spontaneously if you have the feeling that there might be anything  you could help with.

What else can we do in Aigen and the surrounding area?

If you would like to spend more time in Aigen, we can recommend the following activities:

  • A visit at the Putterersee (admission is included for overnight guests at the Schlössl and Puttererseehof for the entire weekend) for swimming, jumping from the 4-meter tower, a boat tour, fishing, trampoline jumping or beach volleyball.  Here is a 13-year-old video of the lake ... nothing has really changed.
  • a walk around the Putterersee. You can find the planned tour on Komoot here.
  • a short hike to the Stalingrad Cross. You can find the planned tour on Komoot here.
  • a visit to the Grimming thermal baths (in case the weather will be bad).
  • a visit to the village of Pürgg. On a plateau opposite the mighty Grimming lies the village of Pürgg, once lovingly described by Peter Rosegger as the “crib of Styria”. Be sure to stop by for a coffee or lunch at Gasthaus Krenn (book in advance!).
  • a zipline ride from the Stoderzinken
  • a visit to Trautenfels Castle
  • Last-minute shopping at the ELI Shopping Center in Liezen.

Where can we eat in Aigen and the surrounding area?

As we won't start with cake and snacks until after the ceremony on Saturday, we want to make sure that you are well catered for until then.

So here are a few tips:

Where can we go shopping and get groceries?

Supermarkets & shopping centers:
  • Landmarkt Aigen im Ennstal
  • BILLA Irdning
  • SPAR Irdning
  • DM Stainach
  • BILLA Stainach
  • Hofer Stainach
  • ELI Shopping Center Liezen (Billa inside)

Should we bring our kids?

Your kids are also welcome for sure and will be included in the meals. In the accommodation there are retreats for afternoon naps and in the evening you can easily have an open ear via the baby monitor directly from the dance floor. Additionally to that, there is no traffic around the Putterer Schlössl (only residents so your kids can romp around freely.

However, as the location only has limited space available, we ask you to let us know as early as possible if you are bringing them with you. Please also bear in mind that we want to wildly celebrate with you and that it may therefore get a little louder in the house.
